Glukokortikoidler bir çok deri hastalığının tedavisinde yaygın olarak kullanılmakla beraber bazı hastalarda geri dönüşümlü hipotalamo pituiteradrenal yolunun baskılanmasına neden olabilirler Burada aşırı dozda topikal kortikosteroid kullanımı sonucu Cushing sendromu gelişen 6 aylık kız hasta sunulmuştur
