Retroaortic localized left renal vein anomaly detected during paraaortic lymphadenectomy: a case report
Excision of the lymph nodes of the relevant organ is a general procedure in cancer surgery. In endometrial cancer surgery, it is recommended to excise lymphatic tissues around the aorta and vena cava up to the left renal vein level in a certain group of patients. In this procedure, which requires advanced experience, complications such as major vascular injury, bleeding, prolonged operation time, and organ injuries can be seen. Also, an anomaly detected in this region during surgery can complicate surgical management. In this case report, surgical management of an endometrium cancer patient with retroaortic localized left renal vein anomaly, which was noticed during paraaortic lymphadenectomy, was discussed.
