Türkiye'de farklı engellere sahip çocukların annelerinin yaşam kalitesinin ve psikisosyal destek ihtiyaçlarının araştırılması: Pilot çalışma

Amaç: Çalışma, engelli çocuğa sahip annelerin depresyon, anksiyete, yaşam kalitesi ve psikososyal destek ihtiyaçlarının araştırılması amacıyla planlandı.Yöntemler: Çalışmaya yaşları 4-9 yıl arasında değişen, 10 ampute, 10 serebral palsili (SP), 10 mental retardasyonlu (MR) ve 10 sağlıklı çocuğa sahip toplam 40 anne katıldı. Çocuğun ve annenin demografik bilgileri, çocuğa bakım süresi ve ailenin gelir düzeyi belirlendi. Annelerin yaşam kalitesi ve psikolojik durumunu belirlemek üzere Notthingham Sağlık Profili (NSP), Çocuk Sağlığı Anketi-Anne Raporu, Durumluk ve Sürekli Kaygı Ölçeği (STAI-I, STAI-II) ve Hastane Anksiyete ve Depresyon Skalası kullanıldı. Sonuçlar: Anne ve çocukların yaşları açısından gruplar arasında fark olmadığı belirlendi (p>0.05). Investigation of the quality of life and psychosocial support needs of the mothers having children with different disabilities in Turkey: A pilot study

Purpose: This study was planned to investigate depression, anxiety and quality of life (QoL) and psychosocial support needs of mothers have a child with disabilities. Methods: Forty mothers who have a child with 10 amputees, 10 cerebral palsy (CP), 10 mental retardation (MR), and 10 healthy children between 4-9 years of age participated in the study. Demographic information of children and mothers, time spend for caring and income level were determined. Nottingham Health Profile (NHP), Child Health Questionnaire Parent Form (CHQ-PF50), State-Trate Anxiety Inventory (STAI-I, STAI-II), and Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale were used to determine QoL and psychological status of mothers.Results: No differences were determined between the groups in terms of mothers and children age (p>0.05).
