RİSK KAVRAMI ÜZERİNE

Özet Günlük yaşantımızda, tehlike ve risk kavramlarının sıkça birbirinin yerine kullanıldığına tanık olmaktayız. Bazen bir karar vereceğimizde risk almayı seçer, bazen ise risklerden kaçınırız. Çalışma yaşamında ise riskle ilgili kararları başkası verir, sonucuna da çalışanlar katlanır. Bu makalede risk kavramı üzerine yapılan tartışmalar gözden geçirilmiş ve risk-insan ilişkisinin önemi üzerinde durularak, riskleri nicelleştirmenin; risklerin yönetilmesine etkisi tartışılmıştır.

About the Concept of Risk

In our daily language, we observe that the concept of risk and hazard are used interchangeablymost of the time. In a decision-making process, wesometimes choose to take risks. In some cases, wechoose to avoid risks. But, these kinds of decisionsare made by other people, in working life. Theemployees abide by the outcomes of these decisions. In this article, it has been intended to reviewthe risk literature and to discuss the effects ofquantifying risks on risk management with anemphasis on the debates about the concept of riskand the relationship between human and risk
