This study was conducted between 1-25 December 2000, in Gemlik small and middle size enterprices. The aim of the study was to evaluate occupational health and safety in the work places The work places in Gemlik small and middle size enterprices are in the small and middle categorie 1-21 workers . Average number of people in a work place was 2.9±0.3. Physical conditions of the work places were generally good but preventive measures for work health and safety were insufficient. This is probably due to unawareness about the importance of these measures and insufficiancy of legislation.
