SOME GENOTOXICOLOGICAL AND ECOTOXICOLOGICAL STUDIES ON AMPHIBIANS

Abstract Amphibians contain some of the most endangered species and their population is declining worldwide. Amphibian population decline is related with habitat degradation, climate change, diseases, pesticide use, introduced species and pollution. Pollutants can affect amphibian habitats and population gene pool. The goal of this paper is to summarize some of the studies that have been done on the genotoxicology and ecotoxicology of amphibians.
