Nazal septumdan kaynaklanan skuamöz hücreli karsinom: Olgu sunumu

Yetmiş üç yaşında erkek hasta, burun iç kısmında sivilce şeklinde başlayıp büyüyen ve sol nazal kavi- teyi doldurarak vestibülden dışarı çıkan kitle nede- niyle başvurdu. Nazal endoskopide sol nazal pasajı tama yakın kaplayan, septumun kaudal ucundan kaynaklanan polipoid, hiperemik kitle saptandı. Alı- nan biyopsinin histolojik tanısı skuamöz hücreli kar- sinom olarak geldi. Boyun ultrasonografisinde lenfa- denopati saptanmadı. Kitle lateral rinotomi yaklaşı- mıyla çıkarıldı. Nazolabial sulkustan hazırlanan flep ile defekt onarıldı. Ameliyat sonrasında komplikas- yon gelişmedi ve altı aylık izlem sırasında patoloji saptanmadı

Squamous celi carcinoma originating from the nasal septum: a case report

A 73-year-old male patient presented with a mass that developed in the left nasal cavity and projected out the nasal vestibule. Nasal endoscopy showed a polypoid, hyperemic mass that originated from the caudal end of the septum and almost filled the left nasal passage.Histopathologic diagnosis of the biopsy specimen taken from the lesion was squamous celi carcinoma.Ultrasonography of the neck showed no lym- phadenopathy. The mass was excised via a lateral rhinotomy and the defect site was reconstructed with a nasolabial sulcus flap. No postoperative complications or recurrences were encountered during a follow-up of six months.
