Laser supraglottoplasty for laryngomalacia: A pediatric case series

Laser supraglottoplasty for laryngomalacia: A pediatric case series

We retrospectively reviewed the medical records of a total of nine patients who underwent laser SGP for severe laryngomalacia atour hospital between 2014 and 2015. All patients had respiratory distress as soon as birth. All patients had one or more comorbidities.Only one patient who had vocal cord paralysis remained tracheostomy-dependent at three years of follow-up. In conclusion, supraglottoplasty is an effective and safe method in the treatment of severe laryngomalacia.
