Larenkste mukoepidermoid karsinom: Olgu sunumu

Larenkste mukoepidermoid karsinom MEK sık rastlanmayan, çoğunlukla supraglottik yerleşimli bu- lunan bir malignitedir. Genellikle orta yaş ve üstün- deki erkeklerde görülür. Tedavide ilk seçenek cerra- hidir. Kırk iki yaşındaki erkek hasta, altı aydır süren ses kısıklığı nedeniyle kliniğimize başvurdu. Muaye- nede sağ aritenoid, band ventrikül ve sağ kord vo- kalde ödem saptandı. Sağ kord vokalde fikse görül- dü. Biyopsi sonucu düşük dereceli mukoepidermoid karsinom olarak belirlendi. Hastaya total larenjekto- mi ve sağ fonksiyonel boyun diseksiyonu yapıldı

Mucoepidermoid carcinoma of the larynx: a case report

Mucoepidermoid carcinoma of the larynx is an uncommon malignancy. İt is mostly located in the supraglottis. İt frequently occurs in middle-aged and elderly men. The treatment is primarily surgical. A 42- year-old man presented with a complaint of hoarseness of six-month history. Examination revealed a swelling involving the right arytenoid, false cord, and vocal cords. The right vocal cord was fixed. A biopsy obtained from the lesion showed a low-grade mucoepidermoid carcinoma. He underwent total laryngectomy and right functional neck dissection.
