Tekstil kimyasallarlnln odagr sayrlabilecek silikonlarln tekstil terbiyesinde uygulandtgr alanlar oldukca genigtir. Genel olarak, bu iiriinlerin tekstil mamillilne kazandlrdlgl ozellikler; ipegimsi bir yumugaklrk ve dokiimliiliik, kayganlrk, parlaklrk, elastikiyet, su iticilik veya hidrofillik, kir iticilik, yiinliller iqin kepdegmezlik, dikig kolayhgr, sentetik ve kangrmlart i~in antistatik Bzellikler v.b.'dir. Yazrda; yaprlarrna ve ozelliklerine gore bazt silikon ~egitlerinin tekstil terbiyesindeki avantajlarr belirtilerek a~lklanml~ ve silikon esasll terbiye maddelerinin uygulama alanlan anlattlmtgttr. 

In the last years, the silicones are the basic chemicals used for textile finishing as well as applicable for other industries. The silicones have the superiority as their effectiveness and easy usage, as chemically able to preform various modifications. By developing of many modificated organo-reactive silicones and availability of silicon elastomers in the market, the silicon usage in textile finishing is extremely increased. Silicones are vey basic class of textile chemicals and have many differents froms of applications. Generally the provide the following properties to the textile materials; softness as silk quality and, slipping, brightness, elasticity, water releasing or hydrofilling, soil releasing, anti-felting for wool,, ensy sweing, antstatic properties for synthetics and their compounds,etc. In this article, the silicon types defined according to theis froms and specifications together with the advantages in textile finishing and their applications are explained
