IMPROVEMENT OF ANGORA FIBERS' DYEABILITY BY ENZYMATIC TREATMENT

In this research effect of protease enzyme on dyeing properties of angora (Angora rabbit wool) tiber with acid, 1:2 metal complex and reactive dyestuffs was investigated. According to the experimental results, it is found that the enzymatic treatment before dyeing increases dyeuptake for the acid, 1:2 metal complex and reactive dyes. Color yield of enzymatic treated samples are approximately % 1 0-40 higher compared to un-treated samples. FUl1herrnore it is observed that there is no important differences in washing and light fastness of enzymatic treated and untreated samples.
