The effects of heat treatment on the modulus of rupture and modulus of elasticity of Scots pine (Pinus sylvestris L.) wood.

In this study, first of all, test samples prepared from Scots pine (Pinus sylvestris L.) wood and they were exposed to heat treatment at 130, 145, 160, 175, 190 and 205ºC for 3, 6, 9, 12 hours. Modulus of rupture (MOR) and modulus of elasticity (MOE) values of samples were determined. They were evaluated by multiple variance analysis. It can be said that the effects of heat treatment applications have on the MOR and MOE values of wood samples.
