Confusion-Bewildering of Architecture on Real(ity) and Represent(ation)...!

Taking history into consideration, the inclination to imitate historic forms and symbols are signs of a familiar architectural approach. The aim of this study is to show with the help of an example the level a post-modern understanding that unconditionally accepts to compromise the values of consumer society -not in America, in Europe or the Fareast- but in the very core of Anatolia, namely in Konya can bring architecture. This architectural style which reaches to eclectisism in a physical environment where everything is permitted, turns into collage and even further to kitsch. The difference and importance of this physical environment is in its bringing forth an eclectic understanding as the copy of a natural setting. This arrangement made for the sake of arousing interest turns into a sort of insensibility when it becomes part of everyday life and thus this insensibility is legitimized for the sake of consumption. This causes not only insensibility but also loss of memory and this leads to alienation. The replication of nature is a good means because it is consumed easily. However, the only side to lose will be architecture as it turns space into a position in which the differences are packed and presented as consumption objects.
