Tüp torakostomi uygulanan toraks travmaly 85 hastanyn analizi

Amaç: Toraks travmaly vakalarda ölümcül olabilecek hava yolu obstrüksiyonu, tansiyon pnömotoraks,açyk pnömotoraks, yelken gö?üs, kardiyak tamponad ve di?er patolojiler acil müdahale gerektirir. Buçaly?mada tüp torakostomi uygulanan hastalaryn özellikleri ara?tyrylmy?tyr. Gereç ve Yöntem: Çaly?mamyzdaacil serviste tüp torakostomi uygulanan 85 hasta dosyasy geriye dönük olarak incelendi; ya?, cinsiyet, travmatipi, torasik ve ekstratorasik patoloji, uygulanan medikal tedavi, mortalite yönünden analiz edildi. Bulgular:Çaly?maya 87 hasta dahil edildi. Hastalaryn 74ü (%87) erkekti. Tüp torakostomi uygulanan 36 vakanyn (%42)nedeni trafik kazasy, 28 vakanyn (%32) nedeni delici kesici alet yaralanmasy, 9 vakanyn (%10) nedeni ate?lisilah yaralanmasyydy. 73 vakaya (%85.9) tek tarafly tüp torakostomi, 12 vakaya (%14.1) bilateral tüp torakostomiuygulandy. Müdahale edilen 8 olgu (%9.4) exitus ile sonuçlandy. Sonuç: Tüp torakostomi uygulamaendikasyonlarynyn iyi tanynmalydyr. Toraks travmasyna do?ru yakla?ym ve tedavi mortaliteyi azaltabilir. The analysis of 85 patients that performed tube toracostomy

Objective: Thoracic injuries can be fatal in cases of airway obstruction, tension pneumothorax, openpneumothorax, flail chest, cardiac tamponade, and other pathologies requires urgent intervention. This studyinvestigated characteristics of patients treated with tube thoracostomy. Materials and Methods: 85 patientsthat applied tube thoracostomy in the emergency room were retrospectively analyzed and age, gender, typeof trauma, thoracic and extrathoracic pathologies, the medical treatment and mortality were recorded. Results:87 patients were included in the study. 74 patients (87%) were male. 36 of the cases (42%) were trafficaccidents, 28 cases (32%) were stab wounds, 9 cases (10%) were wounding by firearms. Single-sided tubethoracostomy were performed to 73 patients (85.9%), bilateral tube thoracostomy were applied to the other12 cases (14.1%). 8 of the cases (9.4%) have died. Conclusions: The indications for tube thoracostomy shouldbe well-recognized. A good approach and treatment towards the thoracic trauma could reduce the mortality.The most common cause of blunt chest trauma is traffic accident; public awareness is required to complywith traffic rules.
