Hot water epilepsy: a case report
Hot water epilepsy (HWE) is a rare form of reflex epilepsy, which occurs during hot water bath. It is generally seen in children with normal psychomotor development. The exact pathogenesis of HWE is not known. In such cases, complex partial seizure is the most common clinical manifestation. There may be some epileptic focuses in temporal lobe in EEG records and this suggests a possible structural lesion. In this report, we aimed to present a case with HWE.
