Hemşirelik Bölümü Öğrencilerinin Eğitim Algıları ile Kaygı ve Umutsuzluk Düzeylerine Yönelik Bir Araştırma: Sağlık Yüksekokulu Örneği

Amaç: Hemşirelik öğrencilerinin eğitim algıları ile kaygı ve umutsuzluk düzeyleri arasındaki ilişkinin, çeşitli faktörler açısından ortaya konulmasıdır.Materyal-Metod: Çalışmanın örneklemini, Muğla Sağlık Yüksekokulu Hemşirelik Bölümü 3. ve 4. sınıflarında okuyan ve araştırmaya katılmayı kabul eden 270 öğrenci oluşturmuştur. Öğrencilere, sosyo-demografik özellikler ve eğitim algısını ölçmeye yönelik hazırlanan sorular ile Durumluk-Sürekli Kaygı Envanteri ve Beck Umutsuzluk Ölçeği'nden oluşan anket formu, Aralık 2014 tarihinde gözetim altında uygulanarak veriler toplanmıştır. Veriler SPSS 22.0 (The Statistical Program for Social Sicence) paket programı ile değerlendirilmiştir.Bulgular: Örnek kitleyi oluşturan öğrencilerin demografik açıdan %67,8'inin bayan olduğu, %63,7'sinin uyku sorunu yaşamadığı, %66,7'sinin bölümü isteyerek seçtiği tespit edilmiştir. A Study For The Investigation Of The Nursing Students' Perceptions of Education And Anxiety And Hopelessness Levels: The Case of The School of Health

Objective: The purpose of the current study is to reveal the relationship between the nursing students' perceptions of education and their anxiety and hopelessness levels in terms of various factors.Material-Method: The purpose of the current study is to reveal the relationship between the nursing students' perceptions of education and their anxiety and hopelessness levels in terms of various factors.Results: It was determined that 67,8% of the participants are females, 63,7% do not have any sleeping problems and 66,7% selected their department willingly. The state anxiety and hopelessness levels of the participants considering their relationships with their peers "inadequate" were found to be significantly different from those of the participants viewing their relationships "very good" (p<0,05) and the state-trait anxiety levels of the students stating that they love their profession were found to be significantly different from the other groups (p<0,05). In addition to this, the participants having negative perceptions of education were found to be experiencing higher levels of state-trait anxiety and the participants having positive perceptions of education are more hopeful. Furthermore, a positive significant correlation was found between hopelessness and both state anxiety (r=0,32, p<0,01) and trait anxiety (r=0,33, p<0,01); however, no such correlation was found between hopelessness and perception of education (r=-,05, p>0,05).Discussion: The quality of education as perceived by individuals is the most important determiner of whether they will be hopeful about their future. Students having negative perceptions of the education taken are naturally expected to develop the feelings of unhappiness and pessimism. Therefore, the perception of education can be enhanced by providing support counseling services and increasing scientific activities during vocational education.
