Bu çalışmada, Mayıs 1996-Nisan 1997 döneminde Gülbahçe Körfezi'nden yakalanmış toplam 205 adet Diplodus annularis L., 1758, 204 adet Pagellus erythrinus L., 1758, ve 107 adet Pagellus acarne R., 1826'de yaş kompozisyonu, cinsiyet oranı, yaş-boy, boy-ağırlık ilişkileri, gonadosomatik indeks ve kondüsyon faktörü incelenmiştir. Ayrıca bu türler için torba göz genişliği 22 mm olan geleneksel dip trol ağının seçiciliğine de bakılmıştır.

The study on the population characteristics of three sparid species in the Gülbahçe Bay. Some population characteristics of three Sparid species caught in the Gülbahçe Bay has been examined in this study. Measurements were taken in 205 Diplodus annularis L., 1758, 204 Pagellus erythrinus L., 1758 and 107 Pagellus acarne R., 1826 individuals in order to determined their age composition, sex ratio, age-length, length-weight relationships, gonadosomathic index and condition factors. The cod-end selectivity of traditional bottom trawl nets which have 22 mm half mesh size were also determined for these species.
