Farklı yemlerin kırmızı kıskaçlı kerevit (Cherax quadricarinatus) jüvenillerinde büyüme ve yaşama oranı üzerine etkileri

Özet: Kırmızı kıskaçlı kerevitler (Cherax quadricarinatus), Dünya’da yetiştiriciliği yapılan türlerden biridir. Son yıllarda akvaryumlarda eklembacaklı türlerine olan ilginin artmasıyla beraber, kırmızı kıskaçlı kerevitler akvaryum sektöründe de en fazla ticareti yapılan türler arasına girmiştir. Bu çalışmada, farklı (pul, çubuk, granül, Tubifex) akvaryum yemlerinin kırmızı kıskaçlı kerevitlerde büyüme ve yaşama oranı üzerine etkileri araştırılmıştır. Çalışma 12 adet cam akvaryumda 3 tekrarlı olarak yürütülmüştür. Her bir akvaryuma ortalama 0,0165 g ağırlığında 15 adet birey konulmuştur. Kerevitler 120 gün boyunca ad libitum şeklinde beslenmiştir. Effects of different feeds on growth and survival rate of early juveniles of Australian red claw crayfish (Cherax quadricarinatus)

Abstract: Australian red claw crayfish (Cherax quadricarinatus) are one of the cultivated species all around the world. This species has became more popular in recent years with increasing interest in decapod species in freshwater aquariums. In this study, effects of different feeds (flake, stick, granule, Tubifex) on growth and survival of Australian red claw crayfish in aquarium conditions were investigated. The study was carried out in 12 glass aquariums with three replicates. A group of 15 early juveniles (average 0.0165 g of body weight) were placed in each aquarium. The crayfish were fed with ad libitum for 120 days. At the end of the study, the best weight gain was found on granule diet group and the lowest survival rate was found on Tubifex group statistically (P<0.01).
