Ege Denizi pelajik kopepod faunası ve yaygın türlerin dağılımları

Bu çalışma, Ege Denizi zooplanktonu içerisinde çok önemli bir grubu oluşturan kopepod türlerinin saptanması ve yaygın türlerin mevsimlere bağlı değişimini kapsar. Ayrıca çalışma içerisinde kopepodların diğer zooplankton grupları arasındaki yoğunluk durumunun mevsimlere bağlı olarak değişimi incelenmiştir. Çalışma materyali, Ege Denizi’nde kuzey-güney doğrultusu boyunca neritik ve oseanik suları kapsayan çalışma sahası içerisinde, 1989-1994 yılları arasında değişik mevsimlerde gerçekleştirilen seferler sırasında toplanmıştır. Çalışmada tamamen dikey yönde çekilen zooplankton örneklemeleri incelenmiştir. Zooplankton örneklemeleri Ege Denizi’nin Türk karasuları ve uluslararası sularından toplanmıştır. Toplam 72 tür saptanmış, ve bunlardan 9 türün sadece Kuzey Ege Denizi, 6 türün ise Güney Ege Denizi’nde dağılım gösterdiği tespit edilmiştir. Bu çalışma ile Ege Denizi’nin Türk karasuları sınırları içerisinde kalan kısmının kopepod türleri ve dağılımları büyük ölçüde belirlenmiştir.

Pelagic Copepoda fauna of the Aegean Sea and the distribution of the common species

The study includes the determination of the copepod species, which form a very important group among zooplankton in the Aegean Sea and the seasonal changes in the distribution of the common species. Furthermore the seasonal changes in the density of copepods among other zooplankton groups has also been considered. The vertically sampled study material was collected from Turkish territorial and international waters of the Aegean Sea including neritic and oceanic zones along northern-southern lines in various seasons between 1989-1994. A total of 72 species were identified and of which 9 species for only in North Aegean Sea and 6 species for only in South Aegean Sea were determined. In this study, Copepoda species and their distribution within the Aegean Sea covering Turkish territories are mostly determined.
