Developing a scale: Leisure time physical activity constraints(LTPA-C)

This study described the process of developing and validating a scale assessing constraints to physical activities in leisure time. For this purpose 38 of 75 items were carefully selected from predeveloped item pool. The scale was conducted to 190 academic and administrative staff among five faculties and four administrative departments which was randomly selected in Mugla University. Results of explanatory factor analysis provided seven main factors. The sub dimensions of the Scale ( = 0.93) are; Body Perception= 0.92), Facilities ( =0.88), Income; ( =0.92), Family ( =0.87), Skill Perception ( = 0.86), Time ( =0.88), Willpower ( =0.83), Society ( = 0.85). Additionally correlation coefficients calculated among factors proposed medium level in general.
