Menstrual döngü fazlarının tekrarlı sprint performansı ve aktif toparlanma esnasında kandan laktik asitin uzaklaştırılma hızına etkisi

Bu çalışmanın amacı, menstrual döngünün tekrarlı sprint performansına ve sonrasında aktif toparlanma esnasında laktik asidin kandan uzaklaştırılma hızı üzerine etkisini araştırmaktır. Düzenli menstrual döngüye sahip (menstruasyon gün sayısı = 29.5 ± 3.0 gün) 11 sağlıklı kadın sporcuya (yaş = 21.3 ± 1.9 yıl, boy = 167.4 ± 9.11 cm) menstrual döngünün mid-foliküler (MF) ve luteal fazarında (LF) antropometrik ölçümlerden sonra mekanik bisiklet ergometresinde vücut ağırlıklarının % 10'una karşılık gelen dış dirence karşı 5 x 6 sn sprint uygulanmıştır. Sprint testini takiben reserv kalp atım hızının %40'ında uygulanan aktif toparlanma esnasında laktik asitin kandan eliminasyon hızı ölçülmüştür. Menstrual döngünün fazlarında vücut ağırlığı (MF = 62.27 ± 8.36 kg, LF = 62.26 ± 8.42 kg ), vücut yağ yüzdesi (MF = % 21.43 ± 3.19, LF = % 21.05 ± 3.29), yağsız vücut kitlesi (MF = 48.83 ± 6.31 kg, 49.10 ± 6.50 kg) benzer bulunmuştur (p>0.05). Ayrıca,MF ve LF'de ölçülen 5x6 saniye tekrarlı sprint zirve güç (sırasıyla 13.44 ± 1.86 W/kg ve 13.55 ± 2.00 W/kg), toplam güç (sırasıyla 62.77 ± 8.03 W/kg ve 62.14 ± 8.41 W/kg) ve güç kaybı (sırasıyla % 5.53 ± 2.22 ve % 6.56 ± 2.69) değerleri arasında anlamlı fark saptanmamıştır (p>0.05). MF ve LF'de aktif toparlanma esnasında laktik asitin kandan uzaklaştırılma eğrilerinin eğimleri (MF = -0.19 ± 0.05, LF= -0.19 ± 0.06) farklı değildir (p>0.05). Aynı şekilde her iki fazda ölçülen zirve laktik asit konsantrasyonlarının yarıya inme süreleri de benzer bulunmuştur (MF = 14.19 ± 3.79 dk, LF = 14.39 ± 2.36 dk) (p>0.05). Bu araştırmanın sonuçları, menstrual döngü fazlarının tekrarlı sprint performansı ve sonrasında aktif toparlanma esnasında laktik asidin kandan uzaklaştırılma hızı üzerine olumsuz bir etkisi olmadığını göstermiştir.

Effect of menstrual cycle phases on repeated sprint ability and lactate clearance from blood during active recovery

The purpose of this study was to investigate effects of menstrual cycle on repeated sprint performance and lactic acid elimination speed from the blood during active recovery following to the repeated sprint test. Eleven healty female athletes (age = 21.3 ± 1.9 year, stature = 167.4 ± 9.11 cm, menstrual cycle = 29.5 + 3.0 days) with a regular menstrual cycle were performed 5x6 sn sprint on mechanically breaked cycle ergometer at the external load corresponding to 10% of the body weight during mid-follicular (MF) and mid-luteal phases (LF) of the menstrual cycle. Subsequent to the sprint test, lactic acid elimination speed was measured during active recovery administered at 40% of reserved heart rate. In addition, antropometric measurements were performed during these phases. Body weight (MF = 62.27 ± 8.36 kg, LF = 62,26 ± 8,42 kg ), body fat percentage (MF = % 21.43 ± 3.19, LF = % 21.05 ± 3.29) and fat free mass (MF = 48.83 ± 6.31 kg, 49.10 ± 6.50 kg) were found similar between the phases of mentsrual cycle (p>0.05). In addition, 5x6 second repeated sprint peak power (13.44 ± 1.86 W/kg and 13.55 ❖ 2.00 W/kg respectively), total power (62.77 ± 8.03 W/kg and 62.14 ± 8.41 W/kg respectively) and rate of power lost (5.53% ± 2.22 and 6.56% ± 2.69 respectively) measured at MF and LF were not significantly different (p>0.05). The slope of the lactic acid eliminaton curves during active recovery were not different at MF and LF (MF = -0.19 ± 0.05, LF= -0.19 ± 0.06; p>0.05). Likewise, half life time of peak lactic acid concentrations measured at both phases were found similar (MF = 14.19 ± 3.79.min, LF = 14.39 ± 2.36 min; p>0.05). The results of this study demanstrated that the phases of menstrual cycle had no adverse effect on repeated sprint performance and lactate removal rate from the blood during active recovery.
