Eğitime ya da diplomaya sahip bireyler, profesyonel ve yönetici konumlara atanabilmektedir. Neo-Marxistler, sermaye birikiminin ve yönetiminin artan önemine, yöneticilerin sınıfsal yapıdaki rolüne değinmektedir. Profesyonel ve yönetici olarak çalışanlar, bilgilerini kullanmakta, sermaye-işgücü ilişkileri temelinde gerekli olan yönetme, yeniden üretme gibi işlevleri yerine getirmektedir. Neo-Weberciler, işin profesyonelleşmesine, eğitimin, bilginin artan önemine ve bu nedenle profesyonellerin sınıfsal yapıdaki rolüne işaret etmektedir. Hizmet sınıfı, görece olarak ayrıcalıklı iş ve piyasa durumuyla üst düzey beceriye gereksinimin duyulmadığı beyaz yakalıların yer aldığı konumlardan ayırt edilebilen yeni orta sınıfın üst kesimini göstermektedir. “Diploma”ya sahip olan bireyler, diğerlerine göre daha farklı ve üstün bir konum sağlamaktadır.

To Analyze Individuals with Educational Attainment Reached in Professional and Managerial Positions within the Framework of Neo-Marxist and Neo-Weberian Theories

The scientific and technological developments increase professional and managerial positions require education and knowledge in contemporary societies. The individual with a “diploma or educational attainment” can be appointed in professional and managerial positions. Neo-Marxists refer to the concentration of capital, the increased importance of management and hence the role of managers in the class structure. Managerial and professional workers use their knowledge and perform the functions of control, reproduction –necessary functions for capital in relation to labour. Neo-Weberians point to the professionalization of work, the increased importance of formal qualifications, education, knowledge and hence the role of professionals in the class structure. The service class is used to indicate the rise of both the managerial and professional elements of the new middle class. The service class can analyse in neo-Weberian terms in that it refers to the “upper” part of the new middle class that may distinguish from deskilled white-collar places by virtue of a relatively privileged work and market situation. The individual with a “diploma” ensures more different and superior position than the others.
