Effects of Justice Expenditure on Economic Growth in Turkey Abstract

This study is aimed to investigate effects of justice expenditure on economic growth. In the literature economic effects of public expenditure are evaluated in the frame of Wagner Law and Keynesian hypothesis. In this study relationship between justice expenditure and GDP in Turkey (1968-2006) will be evaluated by using Johansen co integration and Granger causality analysis. While GDP is used as dependent variable, domestic private investment, defense expenditure and justice expenditures are used as explanatory variables at formulated equation according to Keynesian model. According to Granger causality test there is no causality relation between GDP and justice expenditure in Turkey.
