Kurumsal Kaynak Planlaması (ERP) ve Yazılım Seçim Süreci

Kurumsal Kaynak Planlaması (ERP), bir işletmenin üretimden satışa, satınalmadan muhasebeye dek uzanan iş süreçlerinin ortak bir platformda bir araya getirildiği ve işletmenin farklı fonksiyonlarını ortak bir çatı altında bütünleştirmeyi öngören yazılımlardır. Kurumun ERPe neden gereksinim duyduğu ve bu gereksinimi karşılayacağına inanılan en iyi yazılımın seçimi, ERP ile tanışıklığın ilk aşamasını oluşturmaktadır. Kolaylıkla milyon dolar seviyelerinde harcamalara yol açacak böyle bir kararın oluşturulması kolay değildir. Bu çalışmada, ERP sistemini kurumuna uyarlamayı düşünen yöneticilere yol gösterici olabilecek, ERP sisteminin sağlayabileceği faydalar ve seçim sürecine ilişkin kritik faktörler üzerinde durulmuştur. Türkiye ortamında geçerli olan unsurlar, yabancı literatür çalışmaları doğrultusunda düzenlenmiş ve karar vericilerin dikkatine sunulmuştur.

Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) is organization-wide software to integrate the business processes of the organization from production to sales and procurement to accounting under a common information technology platform. Selection process is a first step to get introduced to ERP systems which will fit best to the needs of organizations. Decision to select the best ERP system is not a simple task which incurs substantial costs to organizations. The intention of this study is to provide guidance to managers who engage in ERP system selection decisions. A set of critical issues on software selection is identified in the previous literature and adapted to Turkish context and brought forward to the attention of decision makers.
