SüleymanDemirel Üniversitesi TIP FAKÜLTESİ DERGİSİ: 2002 Eylül; 9(3) Bazal Hücreli Karsinomada Etyolojik Faktörlerin Araştırması Vahide BAYSAL, Mehmet YILDIRIM, Demet BÜYÜKBAŞ, Hümeyra ÖZTÜRK Özet Amaç: Bu çalışmada klinik ve histopatolojik olarak bazal hücreli karsinom (BHK) taraşı alan hastalarda etolojide rolü olabileceği düşünülen faktörlerin araştırılmasını amaçladık. Materyal ve metod: Çalışmamızda 58 BHK'lı hasta ile 45 kontrol olgusunda BHK gelişiminde rol oynayabile­ceği düşünülen çevresel etkenler ve yaşam tarzları araştırılmıştır. Bulgular : İki grup arasında, deri tipi, güneşte kalma süresi, beslenme özellikleri, çay içimi ve vücut kitle indeksi açısından istatistiksel olarak anlamlı fark bulunurken; yaş, cinsiyet, sigara içimi ve alkol kullanımı açısından istatistiksel olarak anlamlı fark bulunamadı. Sonuç: BHK gelişmesinde ultraviyole ve açık renk deri tipine sahip olmak önemli bir etyolojik faktördür. Beslenme ve özellikle de çay tüketiminin, BHK gelişimi üzerine olan etkisinin kapsamlı çalışmalarla araştırıl­ması gereklidir. Abstract The Investigation Of Etiological Factors in Basal Celi Carcinoma Purpose: in this study, we aimed to investigate the role of the etiological factors in patients with basal celi carcinoma (BCC) in which the diagnosis were confirmed clinically and histopathologically. Materials and methods: We investigated the role of life styles and environmental factors in etiology, of 58 BCC patients and 45 control cases. Results: The difference between two groups was statistically significant concerning the skin type, sun expo-sure time, feeding features, tea consumption and body mass index; the age, sex, smoking and alcohol con-sumption were not statistically significant. Conclusion: Ultraviolet and light skin colours are important etiological factors in the development of BCC. The effects of nutrition and tea consumption may be researched by detailed studies on the development of BCC. Keywords: Basal celi carcinoma, etiology, environmental factors, life style.
