Bu çalışmada maden mühendisliği öğrenimine destek amaçlı geliştirilen, bir bilgisayar programı tanıtılmaktadır. OPENPIT V0.3 adı verilen bu program, etkileşimli bir arayüze sahip olabilmesi için görsel dillerden olan Visual Basic 6 kullanılarak geliştirilip derlenmiştir. Yazılım üzerinde bulunan bir pencerede bir kömür ya da maden yatağının kesit görüntüsü (2D) oluşturulmaktadır. Kullanıcı bu görüntü üzerinde kazı işlemini gerçekleştirmektedir. Kullanıcının, olabildiğince fazla sayıda işletme parametresini değiştirmesi sağlanmıştır. Bu sayede bu parametrelerin açık işletme işleyiş ve ekonomisi üzerindeki etkisi gözlenebilmektedir

In this study, a computer program for mining engineering education is introduced. The program, which is called as OPENPIT V0.3, is compiled by using Visual Basic 6 in order to get an interactive interface. In the software, cross section of an orebody or a coal seam is shown at a window where user can excavate the orebody. The software covers all the mining and economical parameters as much as possible. These parameters can be changed easily by the user in order to see the effects of these parameters on the operation and costs
