Examination of Patent Analysis of Electric Vehicles and Applications on Military Vehicles
Electric vehicle technologies have become very important for reasons such as thereduction of oil resources and the development of environmental awareness, and thedesire to reduce the carbon emission made by vehicles. Within the scope of the study, electric vehicles are divided into three types as hybrid, fuel cell and fully electric, and the applications of the technologies in these vehicles on military vehicles arediscussed. In this context, hybrid military vehicles are first discussed and the vehiclesnamed "Shadow RST-V", "Ranger", "FED Beta" and "ULV" are examined under theheading hybrid military vehicles. In addition, the "Hybrid Power Platform"introduced by TUMOSAN in 2019 is being examined as an example of domestic workon hybrid military vehicles. Under the heading of fuel cell military vehicles,"Chevrolet Colorado ZH2" is under review, while "AKREP II" (developed byOtokar) and "Reckless" are examined under the heading of fully electric militaryvehicles. Within the scope of the study, the emergence process and types of electricvehicles are explained in detail and the limited use of electric vehicle technologiesin military vehicles is examined. Also, within the scope of the study, patent analysesfor electric vehicles are examined in order to determine the level of development inelectric vehicle technology and to determine what advantages and disadvantages this technology has. In addition to the patent analysis, the global sales rates ofelectric vehicles are discussed and future sales forecasts and technology predictionsare made. Before the patent analysis is examined, a brief information is providedabout the patent concept and patent analysis.
