Bu çalışma, özel yetenek sınavı ile üniversiteyi kazanan Ondokuz Mayıs Üniversitesi Yaşar Doğu Beden Eğitimi ve Spor Yüksek Okulu (BESYO), Eğitim Fakültesi Resim Öğretmenliği ve Müzik Öğretmenliği öğrencilerinin alkol kullanım sıklığını değerlendirmek amacıyla yapılmıştır. 01 Mart-30 Nisan.2007 tarihleri arasında yapılan kesitsel tipteki bu çalışmaya, 2006-2007 eğitim-öğretim yılında Ondokuz Mayıs Üniversitesi BESYO, Eğitim Fakültesi Resim Öğretmenliği ve Müzik Öğretmenliğinde öğrenim gören toplam 173 öğrenci alınmıştır. Öğrencilere araştırmacı tarafından hazırlanan anket formu gözlem altında uygulanmıştır. Öğrencilerin yaş ortalaması 22,5 ± 0,1 yıl olup, tamamı bekârdır. Katılımcıların 79 (% 48.5)’u alkol kullandığını ifade etmiştir. Alkol kullananların MATT’e göre 3 (% 3.8)’ü risksiz, 51 (% 64.6)’i yüksek riskli ve 25 (% 31.6)’i alkolik olarak gruplandırılmıştır

This study was performed to determine the alcohol consumption frequencies of the Ondokuz Mayıs University Yaşar Doğu Physical Education and Sports College (BESYO), Faculty of Education, Scholastic Profession of Art and Scholastic Profession of Music students whom attained the university with particular skill exams. This sectional study was completed between 01 Mach-30 April 2007 and 173 students educating at Ondokuz Mayıs University Yaşar Doğu Physical Education and Sports College (BESYO), Faculty of Education Scholastic Profession of Art and Scholastic Profession of Music were included. Questionnaire prepared by the investigator was applied to the student under supervision. Age average of the students were 22.5 ± 0.1, all were single. 79 (48.5%) participants expressed that they consume alcohol. Alcohol consumers were grouped according to MATT as; 3 (3.8%) without risk, 51 (64.6%) high risk and 25 (31.6%) alcoholic
