Örgütsel ekoloji, popülasyon analiz seviyesinde seçilim süreçlerine odaklanan ve bu yaklaşımıyla uyum süreçlerini temel alan diğer örgüt kuramlarından ayrılan bir bakış açısına sahiptir. Ancak bu bakış açısı, kuramın çeşitli eleştiriler almasına ve uyum-seçilim probleminin ortaya çıkmasına neden olmuştur. Bu çalışmanın amacı, kurama yapılan eleştiriler bağlamında ortaya çıkan uyum-seçilim problemini ve çözüm önerilerini inceleyerek, örgütsel ekoloji odaklı bir çıkış noktası önermektir

Organizational ecology has a perspective focusing on the selection process at the population level analysis, which cause it to differ from other organization theories based on the adaptation process. However, this approach induced several criticisms and has led to the emergence of selection-adaptation problem.
