The Social Dimension of Evil Phenomenon in American Horror Films

Beginning with first emergence of humanity and break off forbidden apple from the tree, evil phe­nomena have come today through various stages. Throughtout history, we can see evil phenomenan in the concept of dualism through strong/weak, opressor/oppressed, master/slave, knowledge/human, technology/human, God/devil, good/evil etc. Covering every sphere of life and reinterpretation of life with its own tecniques of narration, cinema also couldn't stay indifferent to evil phenomenon that relates closely to human life. From its emergence up to now, through its genres which has been formed itself and according to its features of narration, art of cinema has also treated evil phenomenan with its own specific originality and deep concern.
