Verilerin r;oziJmlenmesinde SPSS programl kul/amlml§tlr.Sonur; olarak; BMI ile deri k,vnm kalmllgl % yag olr;iimlerinden Dumin-Womersly ve Lohman ve bioelektrikempedans % yag sonur;lan arastnda 11-13 ya§ r;ocuklarda ytJksek duzeyde korelasyon bulunmu§tur.Anahtar Kelimeler: Beden Kitle Indeksi, Biyoelektrik empedans, beden % yag, r;ocuklarSUMMARYThe aim of the study was 10 examine the relationship among BMI(body mass index), Tanita bioelectricimpedance and skinfold caliper methods for 11-13 years old girls.Participants of this study were voluntarly chosen 167 sedantary primary school girls who were between 1113years old; (mean body height 146.92±7.23 em and weight 39.96±7,23 kg. respectively).Skinfoldmeasurement was made in four areas (supraliac, supscapula, biceps, triceps) and body fat% wascalculated by using Dumin- Wormersly and Lohman method, Interms of the bioelectrio impedance methodfor evaluating body fat % Tanita equipment was used. BMI, density, fatmass, imp. Ibw, tbw, values werecalculated. SPSS software program was used in order to find out correlation among parametersAs a result positive correlation was found(p<O,01} among body composition measurements Jor 11-13years old sedantery gils.Key Words: Body Mass Index, bioelectric impedance, body fal %, children
