Renk yönetimi, baskı hazırlık aşamasından baskı sonuna kadar renk güvenirliliğini sağlamaya yönelik bir sistemdir. Sistemin ana unsurlarından birisi üretim sürecinde kullanılan cihazların renk evrenlerini tanımlayan ICC (International Color Concercium) profilleridir. Üretici firmalar kendi cihazları ve baskı sistemleri için profiller üretmektedir. Renk yönetim sistemi belirli bir yatırım gerektirdiğinden Türkiye’deki matbaalar genellikle kendi profillerini üretmek yerine bu hazır profilleri kullanmayı tercih etmektedirler. Ancak, hazır profiller genel ve averaj bilgiler içerdiklerinden dolayı zaman zaman oldukça farklı sonuçlar verebilmektedir. Bu çalışmada; hazır ICC profilleri ile Türkiye’deki matbaaların hazırladığı özel profillerin karşılaştırılması yapılmıştır. Profillerde kullanılan mürekkeplerin renk değerleri, nokta kazancı ve beyaz nokta gibi temel ölçümler yapılarak renk evrenleri arasındaki fark ve renk tutarlılıkları değerlendirme sonucu elde edilen verilerin ortalamaları alınarak, standart ICC profilleri ile Türkiye’de üretilen ICC profilleri arasındaki farklar belirlenmiştir. Sonuçta doğru olmayan profiller bize ancak yaklaşık sonuçlar verebildiklerinden güvenilmezler. Doğru ve kaliteli bir sonuç için her cihazın ve makinenin profilinin çıkarılması önerilebilir.

Color management is a system providing color reliability; from the press preparation stage right through to the finished print. ICC (International Color Consortium) profiles which illustrate the colour spectra of devices used in the production process are one of the main components of the system. Manufacturers create their own profiles for their own device and printing systems. Since a certain amount of investment is required for the color management system, printing houses in Turkey prefer to use ready profiles instead of producing their own. However, since ready profiles contain general and average information they can from time to time give very different results. In this study, ready ICC profiles and profiles prepared by printing houses in Turkey have been compared. By measuring factors such as color values of the inks used, dot gain and white point, the average values obtained from the differences in color systems and the evaluation of color consistency lead to the identification of the differences between standard ICC profiles and ICC profiles produced in Turkey. In conclusion, incorrect profiles are not reliable since they only give approximate results. For a correct and high quality result profiles for each device and machine must be derived
