In this study, we explain what the importance of problem solving in education and mathematics. This study contains problem situations, problem kinds, ways of problem solving, stages of problem solving, factors that affect problem solving. We define problem solving skill "the main goal of problem solving" and how to teach that skill to students. We can explain that with our observations at our schools.

Bu çalışmada problem çözmenin eğitim ve matematik için önemi vurgulanıp, problem durumlarının neler olduğu, problemin çeşitleri ve bunların çözüm yolları belirtilmiştir. Problem çözmeyi etkileyen faktörler, problem çözmenin aşamaları açıklanıp matematikte problem çözmede en üst hedef olan problem çözme becerisinin ne olduğu ve problem çözme becerisinin öğrencilere nasıl kazandırılacağı hakkında görev yaptığımız okullardaki gözlemlerimizin yardımıyla tespitlerde bulunulmuştur.
