Bu çalışmada, son teknoloji uydu görüntüleme sistemlerinde yoğunlukla kullanılan doğrusal dizin (pushbroom) tarayıcılar incelenmiştir. Tarihsel gelişim süreçlerine değinildikten sonra, günümüzde bu teknikten yararlanan uzayda yerleşik uydu algılayıcılarının; özellikle Fransız SPOT, Alman MOMS, Hint IRS ve Japon JERS uydularının optik ve geometrik tasarımları üzerinde detaylı olarak durulmuştur. Son olarak, bu sistemlerin harita yapım amaçlı kullanımlarda sağlayacakları doğruluk düzeyleri ortaya koyulmuştur.

In this study, the linear array (pushbroom) scanners that have been used widely in the current generation of spaceborne imaging systems are described. After discussing the historical evaluation of these systems, the imaging sensors; e. g. French SPOT, German MOMS, Indian IRS and Japanese JERS satellites which have utilized this kind of imaging technique at the present day have been dealt with in detail. Lastly, the accuracy levels for mapping applications that are provided by these systems have been explained.
