Bu çalışmanın amacı, ilköğretim 3. Sınıf öğrencilerinin ev ödevininin akademik başarıları üzerindeki etkilerinin belirlenmesidir. Çalışmada, matematik dersinin bir ünitesine dayalı olarak oluşturulan 33 soruluk başarı testi kullanılmıştır. Çalışmanın örneklemi, 41 öğrenci oluşturmuştur. Denekler üç gruba ayrılmıştır. 1. Gruba hiç, 2. Gruba üç matematik ödevi 3. Gruba 15 matematik ödevi verilmiştir. Ön test sonuçları, gruplar arasında anlamlı farklılık göstermemiştir. Deneysel eğitim sonrasında başarı testi yeniden her bir gruba tekrar uygulanmıştır Son test sonuçlarında anlamlı farklık bulunmamıştır.

The aim ofthis study is to determine the effects ofthe homework on the academic success of the students who attend third grade in primary schools. in the study, was used an achievement test which includes 33 questions that are based on a unit ofmaths. The sample ofthe study was consisted of 41 students. The subjects w er e divided into three second was given three questions of maths, and the third group was given 15 questions of maths. The results of the pre-test showed no signifıcant difference amongst the groups. After the expermental treatment, the achievement test was applied to each group again. The results of post-test showed no signiicant difference.
