History of Intravenous Infusion Practices

The history of intravenous infusion applications, which has become a routine part of the treatment plans nowadays, is quite old. Studies on intravenous infusion treatments, as well as other therapeutic methods, have been tried to be developed with legends, religious beliefs, unscientific assumptions and experiments, and this has led to many losses. However, with the development of civilizations social events such as wars and epidemics leading to massive disasters have led to the development of treatment and care practices, including intra venous infusion. The purpose of this review is to examine the development of intravenous infusion applications in the historical process.
