SITUATION OF THE GENUS CORDULEGASTER (INSECTA: ODONATA) IN TURKEY AND VARIATIONS IN CORDULEGASTER PİCTA

In this study, the studies related systematic situation and distribution of the genus Cordulegaster in Turkey have been discussed and variations in C.picta have been revealed by examining specimens of these species in different localities. This genus is represented by three species (C. insignis, C.myzmtae and C.picta) in Turkey. C. picta especially spots on abdominal segments show differences from original definition and it may lead to different definitions. Therefore, determination of these variations is very important in terms of the taxonomic.
