The Information output of computers is used by managers, nonmanagers, and persons and organisation within the firm’s environment. Managers perform functions and play roles, and need skills in communication and problem solving in order to be successful. Public management must also seek to increase the effectiveness tike private one. Therefore they have to reconstruct their administrative information systems, and to manage all organisation ’s resources in an iııdividual resource management system. In this paper, the modernisation of public sector, the aspects of it on the management information systems, the need for resource management systems is explained, and as an example R/3 is given.
