Kayseri Müzesinden yeni yazıtlar

Bu makalede 2007-2008 yıllarında Kayseri Müzesi'nde ekibimiz tarafından yapılan epigrafık çalışma (bk. dn. 1) sırasında kaydedilen biri yaymlı dokuz yazıt tanıtılmaktadır. Genellikle İS. I. - İS.

New inscriptions from the Kayseri Museum

In this article one published and eight new inscriptions from the Kayseri Museum are presented. All of them have been brought to the museum form Caesareiâ and her territory. According to the letter forms and stylistically all the inscriptions are dated from 1st to 3rd century AD. The first two inscriptions give us important information on three local names (Kapias (no. 1); Tauras and Komeis (no. 2). Translations of the inscriptions: 1.Melas and Kapias, sons of Sagarios, (made this stele) for their sweetest and children loving mother Ma, daugther of Knimos and her sister Amme, in memory. 2.Kapias and Tauras for their father Komeis, in memory. 3.Antigone/Antigonia (made this stele) for her sweetest husband and herself while she was alive. 4.[Aurelia Vet]ori[a] Ma[rc]eina, (made this stele) for her father Gaius Vetorius Sabeinianus. 5. son of...... (made this stele) for his sweetest daugther..., in memory. 6.Good luck. 7.Marcianus Demetrios (made this stele) for himself while he was alive. 8.Flavia Ammion (dedicated) this (statue to) Nymphe Dorothea, owing to her dream. 9.(This pithos)belongs to Varus.
