TÜRKÇE LİTERATÜRDE FARKLI DİSİPLİNLERDEN MOBİLİTE (HAREKETLİLİK) ÇALIŞMALARININ TOPLUMSAL CİNSİYET BOYUTU ÜZERİNDEN İNCELENMESİ

Mobilite çalışmaları fiziksel ve ilişkisel olan mobiliteleri, insanların yanı sıra nesnelerin, fikirlerin ve anlamların mobilitesini kapsayan ve yeni gelişen kuramsal bakış açısı sunmaktadır. Aynı zamanda mobilite çalışmaları hareketliliğin toplumsal cinsiyetli olduğunun altını çizmekte böylelikle mobiliteye söylem ve temsil düzeyinde verilen anlam ve mobilite deneyim ve anlatıları toplumsal cinsiyete göre değişmektedir. Bu çalışmada, Türkiye’de bu konuda yapılan yayınların toplumsal cinsiyet boyutu üzerinden incelenerek bu yaklaşımın kullanıldığı alanlar için bir tespit yapmak ve mobilite çalışmalarının potansiyeli ve sınırlılıklarını ortaya koymak hedeflenmiştir. Bu doğrultuda, öncelikle mobilite çalışmalarının göç çalışmalarından ayrıldığı noktalar irdelenmiş ve bu literatüre olası katkısı tartışılmıştır. Ardından Ulusal Tez Merkezi ve Dergipark’ta ilgili anahtar sözcüklerle taranan tez ve makaleler incelenerek kentsel deneyim, yerel bölgesel ve uluslararası boyutta mobilite deneyimi ve bu boyutları çapraz kesecek biçimde hareketliliğin cinsiyeti temaları tanımlanmıştır. Anahtar sözcük olarak yapılan aramayı takiben makale ve tezlerin içerikleri incelenmiş, ilgili bulunan yayınların içerik analizi yapılmıştır. Bu çerçevede taranan makale ve tezlerin toplumsal cinsiyet boyutunu ele alıp almamaları da bir değerlendirme ölçütü olmuştur. Taranan makale ve tezlerde mobilite literatürünün şehir ve bölge planlaması, mimarlık, coğrafya, turizm ve eğitim bilimleri disiplinleri tarafından kullanıldığı tespit edilmiştir. Farklı disiplinlerde mobiliteye ilişkin farklı odaklanmalar görülmüştür; toplumsal cinsiyet teması özellikle kentsel ve ulusal ölçekte rastlanmakla birlikte son yıllarda mobilite kavramının en yoğun kullanıldığı disiplinlerden biri olan eğitim bilimlerinde bu temanın yeterince işlenmediği gözlenmiştir. Mobilite, disiplinlerarası çalışmalara çok uygun ve açık bir kavram olmasına ve uluslararası literatürde bu tür çalışmaların daha sık görülmesine rağmen Türkiye literatüründe bu kavramı kullanan disiplinlerarası çalışmaların azlığı dikkat çekmektedir. Sonuç kısmında bu konunun Türkçe literatürde yeni olduğu, demografi alanı da dahil olmak üzere sosyal ve beşeri bilimlerde mimari, tasarım ve kent planlamasına göre çok daha sınırlı kaldığı, bu nedenle disiplinlerarası bir perspektifle bu teorinin çalışmalara dahil edilmesi önerilmiştir.

A REVIEW ON MOBILITY STUDIES FROM GENDER PERSPECTIVE IN DIFFERENT DISCIPLINES IN TURKISH LITERATURE

Mobility studies offer an emerging theoretical perspective that encompasses physical and relational mobility, mobility of objects, ideas and meanings as well as people. At the same time, mobility studies underline that mobility is gendered, so the meaning of mobility at the level of discourse and representation, and the experiences and narratives of mobility vary according to gender. In this study, it is aimed to reveal the potential and limitations of mobility studies by examining the publications on this subject in Turkey through the gender dimension, making a determination for the areas where this approach is used. In this direction, first of all, the points where mobility studies differ from migration studies are examined and its possible contribution to this literature is discussed. Then, the theses and articles monitored with the relevant keywords in the National Thesis Center and Dergipark were examined and the themes of urban experience, mobility experience at local, regional and international dimensions and gender of mobility were defined in a way that crossed these dimensions. Following the keyword search, the content of the articles and theses were read, and the content analysis of the relevant publications was made. In this context, whether the articles and theses scanned address the gender dimension has also been an evaluation criterion. In the scanned articles and theses, it has been determined that the mobility literature is used by the disciplines of city and regional planning, architecture, geography, tourism and educational sciences. Different focuses on mobility have been seen in different disciplines; although the gender theme is encountered especially in urban and national scales, it has been observed that this theme is not sufficiently covered in educational sciences, which is one of the disciplines where the concept of mobility is used most intensively in recent years. Although mobility is a clear concept that is very suitable for interdisciplinary studies and such studies are seen more frequently in the international literature, it is noteworthy that there are few interdisciplinary studies using this concept in the Turkish literature. In the conclusion part, it is suggested that this subject is new in Turkish literature, it is much more limited in social and human sciences, including the field of demography, than in architecture, design and urban planning, therefore, this theory should be included in the studies with an interdisciplinary perspective.
