İPEK LİFLERİNİN DÜNÜ VE BUGÜNÜ

Bombyx Mori türüne ait ipek böceğinin örmüş olduğu kozadan çekilerek elde edilen liflere “Đpek” denilmektedir. Toplam ipek üretiminin dünya lif üretimindeki payı %0,175’dir. Ancak değerlendirmeyi fiyat bazlı yapacak olursak katma değeri yüksek olan ipek sanayinin önemi daha belirgin olarak anlaşılabilmektedir. Bu yazıda ipek liflerinin tarihçesi ve günümüzdeki durumu hakkında bilgi verilmektedir. Bombyx Mori türüne giren ve dut yaprağı ile beslenen tırtıl türünden ipek böceğinin yaşam evrelerinden birisini geçirmek üzere 2 tane ipek salgı bezinden gelen salgının alt dudağın ucunda bulunan bir delikte birleşip, tek tel halinde çıkışı ve bununla örmüş olduğu kozadan uygun şartlarda çekilerek elde edilen liflere “Đpek” denilmektedir [1]. Şekil 1’de ipek böceği ve ipek filamentleri görülmektedir.

Background And The Present Status Of The Silk Fibers

Fibers reeled from cocoons produced by Bombyx Mori silkworms are called as “silk”. The overall production of silk fibers accounts for 0.175% of world’s fiber production. However, if we make the evaluations based on price, significance of the high value-added silk industry can be understood more clearly. In this article, information about the background and the present status of the silk fibers is given. Fibers reeled from cocoons produced by Bombyx Mori silkworms are called as “silk”. The overall production of silk fibers accounts for 0.175% of world’s fiber production. However, if we make the evaluations based on price, significance of the high value-added silk industry can be understood more clearly. In this article, information about the background and the present status of the silk fibers is given.
