Geometrik ölçülendiime ve toleranslama (GD&T), geleneksel koordinat ölçülendirme ve toleranslamaya göre kesin ve değerli üstünlükler sağladığı için, mekanik parçalar üretiminde geniş bir uygulama alam bulmuştur. GD&T tamlık, açıklık ve ekonomi sağlar. Ucuz işlevsel mastar tasarım ve üretimini olanaklı kılar. Çok anlama gelen, soyut resimler veren koordinat ölçülendirme ve toleranslama tekniği ISO 9001 ve kuşkusuz QS 9000 (otomotiv endüstrisinde kalite sisteminin gerektirdikleri)'in beklediği tamlık ve kusursuzlukları karşılayamamaktadır. Bu yazıda bu iki teknik ve ISO 9001 ile QS 9000 karşılaştırılmış ye gereksinimler tartışılmıştır.

Geometric dimnesioning and tolerancing (GD&T) has found large arca of application in mechanical component manufacturing because it provides definite and valuable advantages over conventional coordinate dimensioning and tolerancing technique. GD&T offers completencess, clarity and higher precision as well as economy. It accomphishes cheap functional gage design and manufacture. The use of ambigious coordinate dimensioning and tolerancing technique contraverses the requirements for accuracy and completeness stipulated in ISO 9001 and certainly in QS 9000 (Quality System Requirements in Automotive Industry). In this article these two techniques and ISO 9001, QS 9000 are compared and the requirements are discussed.
