Prof. Dr. Kemal Cenap Berksoy fizyoloji tarihimizin en önemli isimlerinden biridir. İstanbul Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi Fizyoloji Enstitüsünün ikinci başkanıdır. 1943 yılında yaş haddinden emekli olmuştur. Aynı yıl Cumhuriyet gazetesinde şu ilan yayınlanmıştır: İKMALE KALAN TIP TALEBELERİNE Prof. Dr. Kemal Cenab Fizyoloji dersinden eylûl devresi ikmal imtihanlarına kadar talebeden arzu edenleri hususi derslerle Taksim Doğupalas apartmanındaki dairesinde yetiştirmeyi kabul ediyor. Prof. Dr. Kemal Cenap Berksoy is one of the most important figures in our history of physiology. He was the second director of Physiology Institute of Medical School of İstanbul University. He was retired because of age limit in 1943. In the same year the following announcement was published in Cumhuriyet, a daily newspaper TO MAKE UP MEDICAL STUDENTS Prof. Dr. Kemal Cenab admits to prepare students who were accepted to participate, to the make-up examinations with special lessons in his apartment at Taksim Doğupalas.
