Obezite Vergisinin Kabul Edilebirliği: Anket Araştırması

Obezite hastalığı son yıllarda hem hızla yayılması hem de neden olduğu dolaylı ve dolaysız maliyetleri sebebiyle önemli sağlık sorunu haline gelmiştir. Bu sebeple obezite hastalığını önlemek için ülkeler çeşitli politikalar geliştirmişlerdir. Bu politikalardan bir tanesi obezite vergisidir. Obezite vergisi, cips, kola vb. yüksek oranda yağ, şeker ve tuz içeren sağlıksız ürünlerin vergilendirilmesidir. Bu çalışmanın amacı obezite vergisinin kabul edilebilirliğini anket analiz yöntemi ile araştırmaktır. Anket sonucuna göre ürünler üzerine uygulanacak bir obezite vergisinin kabul edilmediği ancak sağlıksız gıda üretimi yapan şirketlere ve bu tarz reklamlara uygulanacak verginin kabul edildiği görülmüştür. Ayrıca devletin obezite hastalığı hakkında farkındalık oluşturması beklenmektedir.

Acceptability Of Obesity Tax: Survey Research

Obesity has become an important health problem in recent years due to its rapid spread and its direct and indirect costs. For this reason, countries have developed various policies to prevent obesity. One of these policies is obesity tax. Obesity tax is the taxation of unhealthy products, chips, cola etc., containing high fat, sugar and salt. The purpose of this study is to investigate the acceptability of obesity tax by questionnaire analysis method. According to the survey results, it was seen that the obesity tax on the products was not accepted. However, obesity tax have been accepted the companies that produced unhealthy food and the kind of advertisement. In addition, the state is expected to raise awareness about obesity.
