Bu çalışma uzamış proöstrusa sahip bir dişi köpeğin normal siklusuna geri döndürülmesi ve transservikal tohumlama yöntemiyle yavru alınması amacıyla yapıldı. Çalışma materyalini 3 yaşlı dişi bir köpek oluşturdu ve alınan anamnezde geçmişinde böyle bir rahatsızlığının olmadığı öğrenildi. Dişi köpek, normal östrus süresini aşması nedeniyle izlemeye alındı ve ekzojen hormonlar kullanılarak normal östrusa gelmesi sağlandı. Hiç bir sağlık problemi bulunmayan erkek köpekten elle maniplasyon yöntemiyle sperma alındı, muayene edildi ve dişi köpek tohumlandı. Bu çalışma sonucunda uzamış proöstrusa sahip dişi köpeklerin hasta sahipleri tarafından, çözülmesi zor bir problem olarak görülmesi nedeni ile hayvanlarını kısırlaştırmalarına engel olmak, tedavisi olan bir rahatsızlık olarak görmelerini sağlayarak, değerli hayvanlardan dölverimi alınmasını sağlamaktadır.

This study was performed with aim that female dog having prolonged proestrus was turned to its normal cycle and getting offspring with transcervical insemination method. In this study, 3 years old female dog was used and a dog with no history of such a condition. Female dog was follewed up for exceeding duration of normal oestrus and female dog has brought to the normal oestrus by using exogenous hormones semen was collected from male dog without any health problems by manipulation method and examined and female dog was inseminated with this semen.As a result of this study, patients with prolonged proöstrus female dogs have a difficult problem to be solved by the owners to see because of the castrated animals of stop them, which is treated as a disturbance of the animals and ensure the fertility enabling us to see
