Tavukların elektrokardiyografisinde I, II, III, aVR, aVL ve aVf derivasyonları kullanıldı. Efektrokardiyogramda P, R, S ve T dalgaları görüldü. Q dalgasına hiç rastlanılmadı. I. derivasyondaki bütün dalgalar çok alçak amplitütlü veya hemen hemen izoelektrikti. P dalgası genellikle T dalgasının içine karışmış durumdaydı. R dalgasının amplitüdü genellikle çok küçük olup, bazı tavuklarda da hiç bulunmamaktaydı. S dalgası oldukça belirgindi. II. ve III. derivasyondaki R ve S dalgaları hemen hemen eşit yükseklikte idi. Ortalama amplitüdü 0.20 mv olan T dalgası derivasyon I, II, III ve aVR'de pozitif, aVR ve aVL 'de ise negatif olup QRS kompleksinin tersi yönde bulunuyordu. QRS kompleksinin ortalama yüksekliği 0.27 mv, süresi de 0.025 saniye bulundu. Ortalama P -R ve Q -T aralıkları, sırasıyla 0.028 ve 0.127 saniye idi. Kalp atım hızının ortalaması dakikada 351.5 kadardı. Kalbin ortalama elektriksel ekseninin -88° olduğu bulundu.

The Electrocardiogram of the Chicken Leads I, II, III, aVR, aVL and aVF were used in electrocardiography of the chicken. An electrocardiogram exhibited P, R, S and T waves. No Q wave was observed. All the waves in Lead I were of very low amplitude or almost isolectric. The P wave was generally interfered with the T wave. The amplitude of R wave was generally very low , however, no detectable R wave was present in some birds. The S wave was relatively prominent. R and S waves in Leads II and III were abaut of equal amplitude. The wave, of a mean amplitude of 0.20 mv, was positive in Leads I, II, III and aVF but negative in Leads aVR and aVL, and exhibited an opposite direction of QRS complex. The QRS complex was averaged as 0.27 mv of amplitude, and 0.025 sec of duration. The mean P -R and Q -T intervals were 0.048 and 0.127 seconds respectively. Heart rate was averaged as 351.5 per minute. The mean electrical axis of heart was found to be -88°.
