PLATON VE ARİSTOTELES'TE TÜMELLER PROBLEMİ

Tümeller probleminde öne çıkan çözüm önerileri gerçekçilik ve adcılık altında toplanabilir. Platon ve Aristoteles görüşleriyle gerçekçiliğin temsilcileri olarak kabul edilebilirler ve kendilerinden sonra gelen düşünürler için bir dayanak noktası oluştururlar. Platon'un İdealar görüşü ve Aristoteles'in kategoriler teorisi tümeller hakkındaki görüşlerini sınırlandırmamıza yardımcı olur ve aralarındaki ayırım, sonraki düşünürler tarafından da çokça tartışılan bir konu haline gelir. Bu makalede Platon ve Aristoteles'in konuya dair düşünceleri tümeller problemi çerçevesinde ortaya serilmesi ve sonraki dönemde tartışmayı etkileyen düşüncelerinin vurgulanması amaçlanmaktadır.

THEORY OF UNIVERSALS IN ARISTOTLE AND PLATO

The solutions for the theory of universals may be grouped as realism and nominalism. Plato and Aristotle are considered as the founders of realism for their opinions and they are a certain reference for the philosophers after them. Plato's theory of ideals and Aristotle's theory of categories help us to compose their opinions on universals. The difference between these opinions becomes a vastly discussed subject. The aim of this article is to present Plato and Aristotle's thoughts within the frame of the problem of universals and emphasize their influencing thoughts on the subject.
