The analysis of cicero s narration of regnal period in de re publica
Cicero s concept of ideal state in De Re Publica was experienced as a historical fact up to his own period, as opposed to Plato s concept of fictive ideal state. Cicero tries to analyse the origin of the state s regnal history in the second book. This paper analyses his narration of origin in a historical, religious, and philosophical context.
