The Evolution of the Franchising System and the Analysis of the Determinants of the Job-satisfaction of the Franchisees: Turkish Case

In this paper, a survey has been made on the effects which determine the job-satisfaction of the franchisees taking franchising rights from the franchiser firms which are the members of National Franchising Association (UFRAD), after the evolution and current situation of the system have been studied. The findings show that system motivation, cooperation, the balance of power, the expectations and the image of the franchiser firm play an important role in the satisfaction of the franchisee firms. The results provide some hints for the possible attitudes of the franchisers and the franchisees in their mutual relations. In this way, some proposals making contribution to the development of the system in Turkey can be made by incresing the job-satisfaction of the franchisee.
