Çocukluk Travmaları ve Güvenli Çocuk Becerilerinin Geliştirilmesi: Vaka Örneği

Çocukluk çağında yaşanan istismar, ihmal ve travmalar; bir çocuğun olduğu gibi davrandığında cezalandırıldığı-reddedildiği-ihmal edildiği ve böylece güvenlik duygusundan mahrum edildiği için çocuk olmaktan, kendisi gibi davranmaktan alıkoymakta, kendini reddetmesine yol açmaktadır. Güvenli bağlanmaya sahip olanlar ki bu sadece ebeveynlerden değil, ailenin başka bir üyesinden, bir aile dostundan, öğretmenlerden varlığının koşulsuz kabul edilmesi ve onaylanmasını alarak güvenli bir dayanak bulmuş olanlar; bir şekilde bu travmaları ağır bir hasar almadan veya daha kolay atlatabilirken, güvensiz bağlanması olanlar daha fazla risk altındadırlar. Böyle bir danışanın terapistin yargısız kabulü ile bağlanma travmasını onarmak, varolan kaynaklarını güçlendirmek ve yeni kaynaklar eklemek için güvenli çocuk becerilerini kullanabilmesi, içindeki çocuğu yargısızca kabullenebilmesi, travmanın neden olduğu utanç duygusunun giderilmesine, otantik benliğine ulaşarak özdeğerinin ve kendine güveninin artmasına yardım edecek; psikolojik esnekliğini artıracak, sorunlarla başa çıkabilmesinde yardımcı olacaktır. Bu kapsamda bu çalışmanın amacı, özellikle de travmatik bir çocukluk geçiren, nasıl hissettiğine erişmekte zorluk çeken, güven ve başkalarıyla bağlantı kurma konusunda zorluk yaşayanlar için, içsel çocuk ile temas ve onun yaralarını fark edip ihtiyaçlarını giderebilmek için danışana “güvenli çocuk becerilerinin” terapide nasıl öğretildiğini özetlemektir.
